Sunny will guide you through an hour of beautiful peaceful restorative Asanas which will lead gently into the most divine healing of Crystal Bowls and Light Language Sound Bath by Rose from Crystal Sounds. This Winter Solstice is a reminder to honour our connection with the natural world. We will honour the darkness and welcoming the Divine Light into our hearts and life. In winter everything lies dormant in the silent earth, it is a sacred time of rest and reflection before the awakening and the slow build toward brighter days. It brings a great stillness and has the energy of going inwards, welcoming a time to rest and reflect. This time of change will give permission to slow down and give rise to an opportunity to reconnect with the fluidity of life which is so important to our health and wellbeing, it will bring back balance and joyful energy. The winter solstice is the moment in the year when Earth is tilted as far away from the sun as it will be all year and therefore the shortest day of the year, meaning it has the longest period of darkness. This day celebrates the sun’s rebirth allowing the days become longer and symbolises the energy of fire and light, along with life, death, the rising sun, and the moon. For this day let yourself rest in the peace of darkness, knowing the changing of the season, and the return of brighter days is ahead, be reminded you are always connected to nature and your inner light never dims. Let the earth grounds you, the sky lifts you, the water feeds you, the infinite space holds you and let the fire stokes the life within you! For this practice please bring your own props if you wish such as bolsters, blankets and pillows to help you fully relax throughout the practice.
